Release notes

1.1.0

  • Latest (⌥L): the screenshot you just took, the file you just downloaded, what you just copied and what Optional just made, each with its source and time.
  • Edge Drops: start dragging a file and the screen edges light up. Send on the left, compress or convert on the right, park it on the Shelf at the top.
  • Shelf: park files at the top of the screen and drag them out later.
  • Choose what sits on each edge in Settings › Edges, and the edges glow with soft aurora light in your highlight color that rises at the zone under your pointer. It flows around the MacBook notch and follows the menu bar on other displays.
  • While you drag, every edge stays visible, so you can see what's on the others; add Share… or a specific app like WeChat as its own zone.
  • Point and click works in every wheel, alongside the keys.
  • Edges style: show any wheel, or every wheel, along the screen edges instead.
  • Two-finger scrolling moves through any open wheel.
  • Wheel size setting, Open With… in Recent Files, and Quick Look that stays open after you let go.
  • Every selection now says what letting go will do, and the wheel's center is a safe spot to cancel.
