Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Optional and this website. By buying or using Optional you agree to them.

The seller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Your license

• A license lets one person use Optional on up to 2 Macs they own or use. You can move it to another Mac by deactivating it on one first.
• A license covers the major version you bought (for example 1.x) and every update within it. Later major versions may be offered as a paid upgrade.
• You may not resell, share publicly or sublicense your key.
• The free trial is the full app for 14 days.

The software

Optional is provided “as is”. I work hard to make it reliable, but I can’t promise it will be free of bugs or work with every app. Some features rely on macOS behavior that Apple may change in future updates; when that happens I’ll fix what I can, and may remove a feature I can no longer support.

To the extent the law allows, my liability for any claim related to Optional is limited to the amount you paid for it.
